Styling Colored Lace

One of the trickiest style combinations to pull off is an outfit styled with colored lace.  There are a couple of challenging factors to consider as you are building your wardrobe to include colored lace.Styling Colored Lace
The first option to consider as you are choosing the colored lace piece to purchase for your wardrobe is color.  The color of the lace that you choose can make or break your look. If you miss the mark in terms of color, your fashion forward style will veer off course into the land of what can best be described as forgotten fashion. The wrong color can cheapen the entire look. An obvious go to color for colored lace is black.  Black is a safe option that can be styled for an elegant evening look, or dressed down for day. If you want to be slightly more adventurous, then opt for a color other than black.   Look for lace in deep jewel tones that will give it the appearance of  quality. There are however colors to avoid when it comes choosing colored lace. Avoid colors like white when it comes to choosing lace as those items will take on an unintended bridal element.
Once you have chosen the color of your lace, then its time to style the rest of your look.  In the piece featured above, we paired the colored lace with a leather skirt as a way to convey a hard rock edge. Another option would be to style your colored lace with a crisp white capri for spring and bright metallic accents for interest.  Your final decision when it comes to styling your colored lace top is what to place under the top.  Choose your camisole with caution when you are styling a colored lace top. A nude camisole can sometimes be read as an inappropriate style choice and can send a classless vibe.
Now, its your turn to sound off, how do you rock the colored lace look?
