Wearing Springs Hottest Makeup Trends

Part of creating the perfect style persona is knowing how to rock a great trend. Sometimes that statement is easier said than done. Today we are here to tackle a topic that may be a little more intimidating than some of our regular fashion topics. However, learning to choose the perfect spring makeup colors can be the difference in a look that is simply okay and one that will earn you a best dressed nomination.  There are several factors to consider when it comes to choosing the best makeup look for spring.

Select Colors That Compliment Your Skin Tone

In much the same way that you must select the appropriate fabric color for your skin tone, you must also select the most appropriate makeup shade for your skin tone. If you have a fair skin tone, the most important thing to remember is to not overwhelm your skin tone by wearing a shade that is too dark for your skin. Choose lighter colors like a rose tone or a pale pink for your color palette. If your skin tone is slightly darker and falls into a medium category look to colors like soft browns or golds as your color of choice.  If you have a darker skin tone then look for berry colors that will stand out against your skin tone.

Understand What You Are Comfortable With

One of the most important points when it comes to crafting your personal style is to understand what your own personal comfort level is. Not every trend is for everyone and you must understand where to draw the line for yourself. If you are not comfortable with your look, then others will sense that about you and it will detract from your other style successes. When you begin to understand what your own personal comfort level is, your confidence level will shine through and complete your style puzzle.

Fashion Forward style is about embracing  who you are and letting the real you shine through. Identify the characteristics that you want to flaunt and then choose a technique to camouflage those that you are less that thrilled about (we all have them). At the end of the day if you love your style then you will always be a true trendsetter.
